THE VOICE BOX:
The area of your throat where all the sound comes from is called the voice box.
It’s where our vocal cords are – where the sound is made when air shoots up from the diaphragm – starts vibrating the vocal cords – and “hey presto” we make sound! Pure Magic!

Your Voice is Unique ….. !
In the same way that a singer has a very individual, unique voice, ….. we too, have a very individual speaking voice – an individual, unique accent.
When you hear Adele singing ….. you know instantly, that it’s her!
When you hear Amy Winehouse singing ….. there is absolutely no doubt in your mind ….. who it is!

“You know, it’s a very personal thing; the way we speak”.
Here’s the thing:
While hanging out with your friends, if you were to close your eyes, just for that moment, and listen to them speaking …. you would be able to tell “straight away” which one is speaking; recognise each and every one of them – just by hearing their voice: the way they speak.
The melodic sounds, the colouration of tones; intonation rhythms; the euphoric highs and abysmal lows of emotion coupled with the dancing melodies.
Your voice has its own character: totally unique!
All thanks to that area of your throat where all the sound comes from ……
It’s called:
THE VOICE BOX
